O'Keefe's Tavern: A Taste of Ireland in Clearwater, FL

Pretzel and meatloaf were good, but the star of the show was the sheppard's pie. Friendly people and great atmosphere.

Stopped here on a rainy Friday night and had a great time! There was a little wait to get seated and place our orders but we didn’t mind because the staff was so friendly. Drinks and food came out quickly and were very good! The fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly! Then the manager, Robbie, gave us another round of drinks and dessert for waiting patiently… totally unnecessary but very nice. Overall, it had a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food! Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon!

Just moved to Florida and my car salesman recommended O'Keefes's for lunch. We got the Halfway To ST Pats Special, Fish & Chips. The fish was so fresh & flakes. The batter was excellent. Fries hot & crispy. The slaw was great to. Our waiter, Cameron was a absolute doll. He checked on us in a timely matter to. The atmosphere was super comfy & inviting. This will be a favorite place to eat from now on. Sorry, I had to dig in before I took pictures!

We had a large table with 12 or 13 women for a small reunion group,. Our server, Andrea did a great job handling all of us. The food was great. The drinks were really good and of course, a fun time had by all. I had the o'keefs. Traditional Irish meatloaf with potatoes and had a beer gravy was very yummy , a few people ordered the Shepherds Pie. Steak was very good too. Someone ordered a chef salad and another large salad with said was very good . Thanks

We've been there a few times now. Never a bad experience. But last night took the cake! Our server was actually the best we've had anywhere in quite awhile. And the food?!?! Best I've had there so far!! We shared 2 things and I would, and might go back tomorrow for the exact same thing!! Strongly recommend the Chicago Beef Dip Sandwich & the Paradise Chicken Salad. Oh. My God. Soooo freaking delicious!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my imperial burger it was flavorful!! The fish and chips (haddock) was a great order, an amazing serving for a fish lover! Stacey M was pretty awesome and recommended both options over our other choices. Looking forward to returning, the pup enjoyed himself on the patio as well!!

I’ve always said I wanted to check out O’Keefe’s Tavern for years and tonight was the night I finally ended up dining there. The inside of the restaurant is very nice to see with all the Irish themed decor, woodwork, lighting and festive atmosphere all together!!! We had a large party and they made sure we were able to get seated which was great!!! Our server, Joseph was polite and made sure we had everything we needed while we were there. Food came out in good time and all of it looked amazing!!! I wish I could’ve took pictures of everything that was on the table!! Food was hot and absolutely delicious!!! We were full, but heard about their award winning homemade bread pudding and had to get some to go!! Wound up eating that at home and that too absolutely melted in your mouth!!! At the end of our dining experience, the manager, Robbie, stopped by our table and checked on us. We conversed with him about their events and commented on how great our experience was as well!! Keep up the great job with the food, service & atmosphere!!! We are looking forward to our next visit back!!!

This restaurant is a long-standing icon in the downtown Clearwater and surrounding community. My wife and her family have been coming here for many years. The tradition of serving a wide range of dishes and specializing in authentic Irish dishes has been their signature that the locals and visitors have cherished so dearly for so many years. It is conveniently located on the primary downtown main traffic road, Fort Harrison Avenue, that travels through the center of downtown. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have a great bar too. The menu has something for everyone. The Irish dishes they offer include Sheperd's Pie, Bangers and Mash and Fish and Chips. The pricing is reasonable and the portions are generous. The food is fresh, hot and very delicious. My server, Jordan was friendly, polite and very helpful. He checked on me throughout my meal. He brought my cocktail out right away. It was a Spicy Bloody Mary and it was amazing! It had a great flavor and the perfect amount of spice. The food came to my table promptly and it was piping hot. The order was correct and he added to my order without hesitation. The Reuben Sandwich I ordered was outstanding. It is the best Reuben Sandwich served in the Tampa Bay Area! It is my favorite part of coming here. The fries were hot, crispy and very tasty. The Coleslaw was a nice compliment to my sandwich. The Manager, Kelly ("The Boss!") was very nice. She stated that the restaurant will be relocating approximately in January and staying in the area close by. The City of Clearwater officials are being very supportive in assisting them with relocating close by where they are located now. She said they would like to complete the relocation process within a nine month period. She also stated that they will be keeping everyone updated on their Facebook page so look there for updated information. I would encourage everyone to patronize this place in support of all the challenges they are going to face in the upcoming foreseeable future. The family owners are very good people and they take great care of their amazing staff. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to everyone. 6 Stars
